Women's Retreat is a Good Investment

The Mosaic Women's Retreat is a powerful way to become more mindful, strategic, and confident in your personal and professional life. But you're probably thinking, Megan, this is during work hours and costs money - how can I convince my employer it's worth valuable company time and dollars? We can help with that! This guide outlines:

  1. The benefits of attending

  2. Strategies to communicate those benefits to your employer

  3. A sample letter and expense breakdown

The benefits of attending

  • Improved leadership skills to help drive your organization forward. Specifically, we’re using a personal and professional development tool, Dynamix, which identifies your communication tendencies and provides strategies to interact with others who have differing communication styles and work preferences.

  • The know-how to adapt your actions and reactions authentically and effectively to build stronger relationships and superior performance.

  • Growing your network with like-minded professionals in the community. Connections in Brandon and in the Westman area are more like two degrees of separation versus six. This event will drive forward the professional community by bringing together like-minded women.

Strategies to communicate those benefits to your employer

  • Read through the agenda and become familiar with the details

  • Note your top reasons for attending and why they're relevant to your role

  • Send a formal letter to your supervisor - DOWNLOAD A SAMPLE LETTER AND EXPENSE SHEET HERE

  • Pitch the retreat to your boss in their preferred communication style - keep it brief or provide as much info as possible, depending on what works best for them
